Smithfield Commemoration 2013

SMITHFIELD COMMEMORATION 2013
The Tartan Army were once again out in force in London to support Scotland against the Auld Enemy. As has become traditional on these proceedings it was only right and proper that we paid tribute to William Wallace while we were there. The Society were delighted to be asked to have a representative say a few words at the Smithfield monument. That honour fell to Big George our treasurer who was absolutely honoured to be asked to say a few words on behalf of the Society, and by all accounts he did a grand job. Special thanks to Brian Roy for all his hard work behind the scenes organising this event, to Ted and George for their speeches but most of all to the Tartan Army for showing up in their hundreds to attend an event that wasn't publicised, well done guys and thank you.
